This is my second kadalakka pola recipe, as I promised here I am with another way of kadalakka pola preparation. Enjoy...
3 ½ tbsp Chana dal
3tbsp milk powder
(½ cup water)
4 eggs
5-6 tbsp sugar
pinch of salt
pinch of baking powder
½ tsp vanilla essence
1 tsp ghee
some raisins, cahews or any other nuts I used walnuts
Preparation
Soak washed chana dal in water for 2 hr then cook by adding enough water. Take cooked chana dal in a blender, add milk powder blend well. First blend without adding water if not possible add water little by little you may need ¼ - ½ cup water not more than that. Keep ground chana dal aside. Beat eggs with beater add sugar in between, once it whipped well add chana dal paste, vanilla essence, baking powder and pinch of salt. Mix it slowly. Heat a nonstick deep bottom pan pan (try to take small I always use small so it will puff up more) add ghee into it. Once ghee melted turn off the flame. Pour our prepared mixture into it. Cover the lid. Place a tawa on flame, then place our pan on top of tawa. Cook at lowest possible flame for 20 minutes or till inserted tester comes out clean. In between you need to add raisins and nuts like after 10-15 minutes so nuts and raisins will settle on top.
