Kootu curry

Ingredients
½- ¾ cup black chickpea
1 raw Plantain banana (I did thin slices by using processor actually thick square pieces are more recomended)
1 cup elephant yam (chena) (this is also I made thin pieces but I recommend you to use medium thick pieces)
1 green chilli
½ tsp turmeric powder
¾  cup grated coconut
½ -3/4 tsp pepper powder
1 tsp cumin seed

2 tbsp coconut oil
1 tsp cumin seeds
¾ cup grated coconut
curry leaves
2 dried red chilli

Preparation
1)     First cook black chickpea with some water and keep aside
2)    Next make a coarse paste with ¾ cup grated coconut, pepper powder, cumin seed and some water. Keep aside
3)    Ok lets stert the actual process. Cook raw banana and elephant yam along with salt, turmeric powder, green chilli and some water
4)    When it cooked add cooked chickpeas.
5)    Into this add coconut paste (we prepared earlier)
6)    Keep at low flame for 3 minute. Check the salt if needed add more
7)    In a separate pan take coconut oil. Heat it then add cumin seed. After cracking add curry leaves and dried red chilli
8)    Into this add ¾ cup grated coconut fry till become dark brown in color
9)    Add this fried coconut mix into the cooked banana elephant yam curry. Mix it well. The consistency of kootu curry is thick. Serve this with hot rice
